Basic Community Rules:

  • All members in the community are expected to behave with a level of maturity, this means treating others with respect, and refraining from trolling. This also means that any racism, sexism, or homophobia will not be tolerated in this community and will result in points or bans depending on the level of the situation. If you have a issue with someone or something a fellow community member is doing please bring it to staff or bring it up in a mature and RESPECTFUL manner. This is not optional.

  • This community is 18+ only, we do not make exceptions for this rule in any circumstance. If you are found to have lied on your whitelist you will be banned until you are 18.

  • Only one account per member is allowed, any attempts to make a second account to bypass bans or any other punishments will result in a permanent ban with no chance for appeal.

  • All of our community rules apply on our Discord at all times.

  • The General Discord is strictly OOC no IC deals may take place in the ooc channel nor may it be used to set up meetings and/or raids. The ONLY exception for this is the events channel which may be used to announce IC events that have been approved by staff. If you wish to discuss meetings or raids, please do so privately to refrain from disrupting the immersiveness of our community.

  • Admins have final say on any decisions regarding permanent bans.

  • Admins can punish for things not directly listed on this page, so long as the actions being punished are damaging to the community or the image of the community.

Pretending to be staff, lying about what staff has said to you, or messaging another user claiming the message is from staff is grounds for immediate removal and permanent ban.

Basic Role Play Rules:

  • When on the server you are expected to stay IC at all times. This does include staff unless dealing with a current issue, or other thing that needs to be done to maintain the server.

  • OOC may only be used in emergencies and you must use either // or (()) for OOC posts.

  • You must not avoid RP with other community members, if you must leave while someone is trying to RP with you you must let them know why.

  • Sometimes Server or game mechanic issues will cause issues with RP, please do your best to ignore it, Server restarts, pooping, accidentally jumping off a flyer, and crashes should not be taken IC unless agreed to by both parties.

  Class rules:

ALL PLAYERS MUST CHOOSE A CLASS SHORTLY AFTER CREATION OF THEIR CHARACTER. THIS MUST BE DONE IN RP BY MEETING WITH A CURRENT MECH/FUTURISM PERSON, OR A CURRENT MAGE.

  • Mech items are only allowed by the people that chose mech as their starting class.

  • Magical items are only allowed by those that chose a magic class as their starting class.

  • You may change classes at any time. However, if you do so, any knowledge you have of the other class (magic or mech) is no longer usable, will be considered forgotten, and you must follow the above rules.

   New Life Rule (NLR)

  • When you are killed, you are killed. This must be agreed upon OOCly in advance. Otherwise the party may only wound or hurt the other play...WITH CONSENT.

  • Once killed, you lose access to all of your items and MUST CREATE A NEW CHARACTER. This only counts in role-play situations that have been agreed upon by both parties involved. You may return to your former tribe, but gaining access must be done through RP once again...YOU ARE A NEW CHARACTER.

   No Value For Life (NVFL)

  • When on the server you must show value for your characters life at all times. This includes but is not limited to the following:

    • Taking caution around large hostile dinos

    • Not egging people on to kill you as a hostage or otherwise (unless planning to perma)

    • Roleplaying out injuries

    • Taking caution around obviously hostile people

  • With this rule, if you are found guilty frequently of showing no value for life you WILL be forced to re-roll as a new character losing all access to bases, dinos and memories of your former character.

   Forbidden RP

  • Rape, over the top racist, or immature/trolly RP will not be tolerated, and will result in warnings and even bans in the case of rape RP.

  • ERP (Erotic Role-play) is NOT permitted on the server at any time as we have players as young as 18 in this community.

   Powergaming:

Powergaming is the act of forcing an action or state on another player without their consent (IE: Forcing them to accept the cutting off of a limb or receiving a scar)

  • This also covers doing something that would be physically impossible for example dragging around the body of a T-rex on your own.

  • Permadeath also falls under the umbrella of powergaming, you may not under any circumstances force someone to perma, this includes pressuring them into doing it

  • When threatening someone with death you must give them some way to reasonably survive the situation unless they agree to perma.

  • HOWEVER once you have permad a character they are dead, there is no bringing them back without permission from the people involved in the death as well as permission from staff.

  • If you chose to fake a character's death you MUST let staff know right away so we have a record of it. Failure to let us know will result in the character being considered really dead and you will not be permitted to continue playing them.

   Metagaming:

Metagaming is using information you have received OOC in character.

The following are considered Metagaming and will be punished harshly

  • Stream sniping - Watching someone who is streaming on the server to find out a base or player location/pincodes

  • Using death notifications and tribe logs to see who killed you - Tribe logs are entirely OOC and are never to be taken IC

  • Spyglassing someone or their dinos to get their name and use it IC

  • Using a implant of a still living character (implants may only be kept if a person permas. Otherwise they must be thrown away)

   Base and Dino Rules

  • Base sizes must be kept reasonable for IC reasons as well as to keep server lag low.

  • There is no hard limit on dinos but tribes must keep their dino numbers reasonable as well.

  • With the above two rules Admins reserve the right to tell you or warn you to downsize and if you do not we will come in and cull as needed.

  • Any outposts that are abandoned will be removed.

  • Bases may not block obelisks, ruins or unique resources as these may be utilized for future events.

  • Bases must not block a excessive number of hard to find resources or creature spawns and any found doing so will be informed to move or find their bases removed.

  • No dinos are permitted to be left on aggressive unless caged on all sides with walls/a gate. Any flying or sea dino (Argies, wyverns, pteras, dimorphodons, quetzals, anglers, sharks mantas Dunkleosteus etc) may not ever be left on aggressive and harsh punishments will be dealt if it is found this rule is not being followed.

PVP/Base raiding Rules

This server is PVPVE, Raiding and PVP will happen here though we are always a RP server first.

KOS (Kill on sight) rights are gained by someone being a threat or not complying to a demand (Running away counts as not complying.) and the rights last for 2 hours after the last initiation was made, the exception to this is if both sides agree or during a tribe war. (this will be covered in the tribe and factions forum) RP MUST happen first before these rights apply. (IE: someone just walking up with a weapon out but not acting hostile may not be killed or attacked same with in the wild when people are hunting.) Keep in mind, just because you have KOS rights does not mean they must be used, killing should always be a last resort not a first.

  • In order to raid or rob someone you must have a Roleplay reason to do so. Simply robbing someone because you can is not a valid reason to do so.

  • Any demands given to the victim MUST be reasonable for that victim and within a reasonable amount of time, (IE: You cannot demand they give you all of their tames or all of their items but could demand that they for example give you 2K metal within an hour) and achievable.

  • PVP itself must have sufficient RP around it, and can be started in one of two ways. Either through sufficient hostile RP (IE: throwing insults back and forth and things getting heated enough to justify it, with this there must still be some form of warning before shooting anyone.) or through an initiation, which is a valid clear and explicit demand and consequence. The exception to these two situations is if you are in a faction controlled territory (IE within their war banners/walls) and break their rules they then have attack (not kill) Rights on you and can capture and detain you.

  • When Robbing someone in the wild you must still leave them with a reasonable chance of survival, this means leaving them with a spear/pike basic clothes if in the snow biome, as well as near food and water.

  • When Raiding you may take a maximum of 10 slots worth of items, and once those slots are filled you must finish up and leave.

  • If you enter an active firefight, and do not either announce neutrality or leave the area quickly upon realizing what is going on/being warned to leave, those taking part in the firefight gain KOS rights on you and you must still leave quickly. You enter a firefight zone at your own risk when uninvolved.

  • When doing raids and wars, you must not do an excessive amount of damage to a base, in raids this means ONE entrance/exit and the raider is always responsible for the amount of damage done to the base. The only exception to this is active turrets, they may be destroyed as needed but any further damage done must not be excessive.

  • You may not empty containers just to let the items despawn, This is classed as excessive damage and griefing and will be punished as such.

  • Changing your tribe name in order to hide who you are/frame someone else in logs is not permitted and will be punished harshly if it comes to a report.

  • When raiding, if you know someone is online and go to raid them but no one is at the base you must leave a note with a reasonable hint as to who did the raid (IE: some fabric left behind, material on the floor and where it came from such as red soil in their boot tracks - Redwoods, Ash on the floor - Volcano, icy water - tundra/snow mountains) as well as // with your forum name at the bottom, please ensure you check the note and make sure that it all shows up. You may use notes to frame someone but must still include your forum name at the bottom. If you are unable to find a container you must either find a dino and leave a note in that or send them a PM on the forums/discord. If you are unsure who it is please let staff know right away and we will look into it. Or you can leave a box somewhere very near by (and painted brightly/lit with a torch) with the

  • Notes do not need to be left if stealing from a open container that is not inside a base.

  • Turrets must be kept on low range high warning unless an active situation is going on at which point they can be put on high range low warning, but it is the responsibility of the tribe that owns the turrets to ensure that any innocent bystanders who enter the area are made aware of them and are not killed by the turrets. This rule also applies to plant species X as well as Arthropleura who may only be set on high range when targeting wild creatures.

  • Turrets may be set on no warning high range if FULLY enclosed within a building, but as with the rule above the owner of the turrets is responsible for any innocent bystanders killed by them, and it is the responsibility of the owning tribe to ensure that all doors to rooms containing turrets, arthropleura and plant species X are closed at all times.

  • Sleeping bodies may NOT be touched aside from ADDING items, this does not include equipping items like handcuffs which is NOT permitted.

In all of these situations except for the notes, the victim and their present and involved allies gain KOS rights on you.

Hostage Rules

  • Hostages may be taken with a proper initiation or when you have kill or attack rights on someone.

  • Hostages must be RPd with and must provide RP for as long as they are hostages, if you have to leave a hostage alone and unsupervised for an extended period of time (30+ minutes) you must leave them with some form of escape (IE: a unlocked trap door in a jail cell, a tool to break a door or cage with.)

  • When someone is killed and returns to RP as injured the hostage rules also apply.

  • Hostage takers are responsible for the safety of the hostage, they are expected to ensure they do not die of thirst, hunger or by wild dinos unless agreed upon OOC.

  • Graphic and extreme torture and any permanent damage/scarring is ONLY permitted with OOC consent of both parties, a simple “//Permission to perma scar” or //Permission to torture?” is enough to get permission these are two different things so you must be sure which you are asking permission to do.

  • If a capture or capturer must leave for any reason, no rescue parties may come in to rescue the captured. RP MUST BE DONE FOR THIS. Though a captured player may try to escape if left with something to do so, and this has been agreed upon between the parties.

PVP involving creatures

  • Only creatures who are actively attacking you may be killed or fired upon.

  • You may tranq creatures to check their inventory/stop them from being able to attack, but saddles may not be stolen from tranqued creatures.

  • You may also tranq/kill someone's mount if you have Kill rights the rider,(IE: someone is robbing you inside your base and tries to run for their bird to escape) and those kill rights on the creature carry over for 5 minutes after they dismount unless the creature is still actively attacking you.

Offline raids

Offline raiding is permitted as long as a note is left in some place on the base or camp leaving some sort of clue as to whom did it (i.e. boot prints, a piece of cloth, etc.)

Griefing:

  • The following actions are classed as Griefing and will be punished as such, griefing is by no means limited to just the actions listed here.

    • Kiting or dropping wild or aggressive creatures into people's bases with the intention of them doing damage or killing.

    • Harming, killing or touching (IE: stealing food or narcotics from the inventory) of creatures knocked out for taming.

    • Breaking beds intentionally to keep people from respawning at their home.

    • Dropping diseased leeches or corpses into someones base.

    • Breaking boxes and containers just to make items despawn.

    • Cutting someone's hair or dyeing it without their permission

    • Painting other players, their creatures or any part of a base that does not belong to you without their permission will be considered griefing and will be punished as such. The only exception to this rule is signs and flags may be left up around bases.

Staff Authority

The Admin team reserves the following rights in order to contend with a variety of variables amounting to the betrayal or out right breaking of rules or standard etiquette to the community:

* The final word on bans, the team may discuss the situation and personal vendetta's amongst them will be met with zero tolerance.

* Cheating - the team will use any means necessary without initiation of disruption to the function of our community to CATCH Trolls, Cheaters and the like.

* Punishment distribution, this can be discussed both prior and after the deliverance depending if a contradiction is found; we like to remain fair as we can.

The members of Staff are expected to contribute to the overall function of the community as per their stated rank, whereas we are lenient to the amount that is contributed- for this is a Volunteering position; we do expect to see some level of activity that bestows us with some advantage to having a person in such a role. The standards of behaviour you'll be held to will be stricter, expectations themselves when activity is initiated will be higher but so long as communication is used of any situations that may hinder you, we will be lenient.

It shouldn't have to be stated but to imitate any member of staff or misconstrued information plainly laid before you to slander an individual will be met with the harshest of punishments.

P.S: Any Actions taken towards Punishments should never threaten the community's integrity which is why multiple members of staff will be influencing decisions made if need be and why even after a decision is made it may be subject to change depending on the following conversation.
